Copywriting and Content Internship

Ado Ato Pictures is currently seeking an on-site or remote Copywriting and Content Intern to work with our (amazing!) team in Amsterdam.

Ado Ato Pictures is an award-winning studio that specializes in new storytelling techniques that engage audiences through senses, mind and heart ( With an office located at the very center of Amsterdam, we work with a number of talented and inspiring artists from the Netherlands and abroad, ranging from animators, developers, writers, sound engineers, and beyond. 

The candidate will work closely with our production team to create all types of engaging writing pieces, from pitching documents and PR materials to social media campaigns and internal documentation. You will delve into the world of new media and immersive storytelling, writing not only about our own projects, but also about tech and art developments from all around the globe. This is a unique opportunity for those looking to unleash their full writing potential while working with innovative media.

The intern will be able to build their writing portfolio while being offered guidance and feedback from the Ado Ato team.  

* Please note that this position is unpaid and part-time. If on-site, the intern will be responsible for finding their own housing during the duration of the internship in Amsterdam.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Craft creative and engaging pieces for internal use and external distribution (including blog posts, newsletters, website pages, PR materials, social media posts, project descriptions, development documentation, etc) 

  • Proofread the studio’s materials and ensure an accessible, fun, and creative writing style

  • Provide marketing support and edit material to translate concepts into intriguing and digestible information

  • Give feedback to other staff pieces (including scripts, social media posts, and project pitches)

  • Research and present ways to further consolidate our image and voice online and offline

  • Work in a team with various writers, creative directors, and media-associated creative talent

  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications and Skills

  • Well-organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience or strong interest in writing copy for new media, film, and interactive projects

  • Experience or strong interest in working with other creative professionals

  • Ability to creatively come up with new and engaging writing concepts

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Sharp interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills

  • Skilled in efficient and accurate research

  • Strong interest in projects relating to world cultures, social justice, LGBTQ and women's rights, and immersive media

  • Ability to receive constructive criticism and feedback

  • Ability to work autonomously and with teams, as well as remotely

  • Fluent in English is a must, Dutch or other language skills are also a plus
